Solutions that don’t break the bank, reinvent the wheel or marginalize our teachers are within our grasp. We could have rigorous classes, safe and disciplined schools and treat teachers like professionals, and we could do so tomorrow if we wanted.

Should school board members abstain from Charter School votes?
Ashley Smith-Juarez and Jason Fischer both took campaign
contributions from charter school advocates. Shouldn't this disqualify them from-making
decisions on charter schools? Not that all the evidence shouldn't anyways.
