Before people complain about teachers supposed high salaries and Cadillac benefits I thought they would like to know that the nations average salary for a teacher is $57,427 dollars, an amount it takes teachers in Duval 23 years to make.
Many people think teacher’s pensions are to high as well. I will tell you what, keep my pension and just pay me the nations average, which for me a 12th year teacher would be a 15 thousand dollar raise.
