The Regency location of LongHorn Steakhouse is sponsoring an event Friday to help support Duval County Public Schools sports.
Some of the districts sports, including cross country, slow-pitch softball, golf, tennis, wrestling and lacrosse, lost funding for this coming school year because of budget cuts.
LongHorn is holding a fundraiser and silent auction from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday for "Save Our Sports."
LongHorn will donate 10 percent of its sales that night through its Dining For Dollars program. Baskets from local vendors will also be available through a silent aution.
Expected that night are local professional and high school athletes, as well as coaches, celebrities and a DJ.
